In August 2024 I will be returning to Scampston Hall to join the Embracing Wool group for an exhibition inspired by gardens. Scampston Walled Garden is an inspiring place and the exhibition is aptly titled "Embracing the Garden".
There will be an exhibition of work from members of the group "Embracing Wool " showcasing the many uses of wool. These will include Wet Felt, Needlefelt, Stitched Felt, Handspun yarns, knitted wool, eco printed wool. There will be decorative art and wearable art available. The makers and artists all work differently and some of them are offering mini workshops during the exhibition.
I am looking forward to returning to this lovely friendly venue and meeting likeminded textile people as well as hopefully introducing garden visitors to some new techniques.

It is free entry to visit the exhibition as well as free to visit the lovely onsite cafe and plant sales area. There is a charge for a visit within the gardens. Historic House membership allows free garden entry daily and RHS membership allows entry on one day a week, please check your membership for details of which day.
