About my Workshops

I have been organising and delivering workshops since 2005, although I have been making felt since 1996. I love what I do and I enjoy sharing my techniques and knowledge with likeminded people. My specialism is Sculptural Felt, I just love the magical process of creating a 3 dimensional sculpture from soft wool. My main focus in teaching is based on learning and accumulating techniques. Once you acquire a variety of techniques this enables you to bring your ideas and designs to life. I love to experiment, its the only way for your work to evolve, don't stand still too long! I like well made felt and I share this with my students, constantly working to achieve the best you possibly can.

The workshops takes place in Snainton Village Hall in North Yorkshire, between Pickering and Scarborough on the main A170 road. Very easy to find and easy free parking on site. I provide all the equipment and materials you need during the workshop, although I do ask you bring your own sharp scissors and two towels, occasionally you may need to bring other items such as sewing needles.

I provide endless cups of coffee and tea along with biscuits and afternoon cake. Please bring your own packed lunch. All workshops are on a Saturday and start at 10am and finish at 4pm.

Workshops are suitable for all abilities as I work with students to suit their experience. There are usually ten or so people in each workshop.  Come with a friend or come on your own and make new friends. The workshops are always friendly and welcoming, spend a day with likeminded people.
